Using Scheduled Tasks in TPP SystmOne

November 3, 2013 — administrator

The ability to schedule a task is alternative to using reminders or a recalls, for example to remind you that a patient needs a test or follow-up on a future date.

The advantage of using a scheduled task over a reminder is that you do not have to retrieve the patient record to see scheduled task. A scheduled task is created overnight on the date you specify and will appear in the Task List the following day. You can also set the task to repeat as often as required, for example every four weeks.

Schedule a Task for a Patient

1. Retrieve the required patient using quick search or F10.

2. Click the Administrative tab at the top of the clinical tree on the left hand side.

3. Click the Appointments, Visits & Tasks node of the admin tree.

4. In the main window, click the Scheduled Tasks tab. Any scheduled tasks are displayed.

5. In the main window, click the New Scheduled Task button.

6. Select the Task Type using the drop down menu, and choose a Task Recipient in the same way as you would on a normal task.

7. Enter the Task Body text. In this example we have set a reminder for a repeat blood test following a medication change for the patient.

8. Choose a date to Create the task on - the task will appear the day after this date.

9. If you would like the task to repeat, tick the Repeating Every box and use the drop down to select days, months, years etc. Choose an Until date if required.

10. Click OK and Save the patient record.
